Why we love to go to Goshen

The kids feel like they own the house...and the Cable TV. There is this channel called Noggin on cable TV that is all pre-school cartoons all the time. And Cyra always makes my dad change it from CNN to Noggin every minute they are in the house. When we leave Goshen, the kids are in a TV-induced coma.

Because my parents like to play on the swings.

But also drink their tea and snacks on the playground (which has been up since Darius was a baby ~14 years)

Because kids love grass...

...and presents.

Sunny Day...

When my college friends came out to visit last year, one of them said that my block looked like Sesame Street. I thought that was the funniest comparison I had ever heard. If it were, I suppose I wouldn't have to be so vigilant about the girls not stepping in dog poop.

Sometimes the girls are good friends.

And sometimes they even have clips in their hair...

Arranged Friendship

It would make me so happy to post a picture of these girls in 20 years in a real tent (camping in Southern UT on a break from BYU?). Harper would be reading; Adelaide would be listening to some great music; and Lucia would probably be really excited about something and talking really loud.

This windowsill is their favorite place in the house. It faces the street and they just like to sit there and look out or look in. I think they like it because they think it's very dangerous to sit up there and they love to live on the edge.

What happens when you have been cooped up in the house for six months:

The movement from order to chaos happens so quickly sometimes. This is the box Cyra's new bike came in. Needless to say, the packaging was way more fun than the contents.

Cyra was pretending to be a little bird.

Even though it's still around 45 degrees outside, the girls like to take their clothes off every chance they get (at least once a day). I try to make Lucia keep her pants on because she knows how to take her diaper off...

And then, they just dance.

And hug

And run
