A few weeks ago, we went walking along the west side and it was such a beautiful day with some ominous clouds for a backdrop. I was thinking that New York would have been a wonderful place to fall in love. It's just a nice setting for a romance. It's also a nice place to have a family. We stopped occasionally and just ran around the grass and watched the boats on the water and just played together until it was really late. There are times when I am sick of the city and ready to move to the warm beach or to the suburbs where I can drive my minivan to a super-target to pick up some pool toys. This was not that day.

Evenings and outings like this do make the city a magical place. I love how much there is to do for free and how there is a lot of cool spaces for kids to run around...if you can just find it. Beautiful pictures!

What a beautiful day. We had a few of those here last week, until the heat and humidity decided that summer isn't over just yet and descended on us once again.

That west side river walk. It's where Levi and I fell in love. It is nice that all these things exist to make the other "things" seem less severe. I love NY. I mean, I hate it--I really, really hate it but I love it.

i just love how they pack the bag and unpack the bag and pack the bag again every time you stop somewhere. They never get tired of stuffing the bag...and they seem to be keeping track of what is in it too. Nana and her bag drive me wild. Now she wants to pack 2 or sometimes 3 bags...not a reflection of me...not at all.
isn't it such a great place? i thought going to school here, falling in love here and getting married here was enough.... but no, now i want to raise kids here too (much thanks to you for making it appear so very easy.....) haha.
i also never want to experience september anywhere else but nyc for the rest of my life. it's amazing. this month, i love new york.

But my weekly trips to Costco for industrial-size packages of toilet paper, paper towels, and cheese--how can I live without that?
