Apple picking and Hamilton, NY

We went to visit our friends Dan and Sunny and Chad and Kimber up in Hamilton, NY and the leaves were turning and we picked apples and made apple pie. We have accomplished autumn. On to winter.

Low hanging fruit is not always easy to pick off.

And then an apple hit her on the head.

And this one was teething the entire weekend. Top two front teeth. No, she does not have them yet, but that didn't stop her from eating the apples off the ground.

And the leaves...

And then just chillaxin' with the ipod.

"Mom, what are these things? what will the street-cleaning truck do with them? Do you think they have to alternate sides of the street?"

The Colgate campus is lovely.

Thanks to Sunny and Dan for letting us come to your house and meet your beautiful baby.

What a fun weekend. It is beautiful out east. Your girls are so cute and hilarious. Cyra looks like a mini Mehrsa. Adorable.

Beautiful, beautiful pictures! I love fall in the northeast. You have such an amazing little family and I love how much of a city kid Cyra is...alternate side for leaves. Hahaha

I love the fall. We've been up Little Cottonwood Canyon three times in the last week. We accidentally surprised a big moose and almost got run over. :) You guys look great, I love Lulu's hair. I feel you on the teething.

Fall! Fall in New York! Apple picking in the Fall in New York! I love it! Have I mentioned I love your haircut too? I can't believe your little Lulu is 1! I guess she can't either! The pictures are beautiful.

"an apple hit her on the head" sounds so passive - as mehrsa stands above her picking them.

Looks like we have work to do before we can accomplish fall. I can hardly wait to make some apple pie. Lovely pictures. It's like I always say, October really is the best month of the year.

Where is Jared's beard???

Love the Colgate pic. Gorgeous.

Jared couldn't grow a beard if Obama's election depended on it.

That's a joke. Really, it is.

The leaves, the apples, the views--all exquisite! Looks like a fun time. But my favorite is Cyra listening to the the ipod--awesome!
Happy fall!

This post reminded me how beautiful fall is! And how nice it is to experience it. Sometimes the city's fall is so fleeting I'm afraid I will miss it. Thanks for the reminder!

Who is the photographer in the family and what kind of camera are you using?! Beautiful photos, beautiful family! Will we be seeing you guys in UT in December?

Now that we've had our own trip to a "pumpkin farm"(a bunch of pumpkins thrown on dead grass) in 94 degree weather- poor kids all sweaty and thirsty on the dusty hayride, I just can't look at these pictures without some genuine jealousy. But, I guess pumpkins really can't grow in AZ so what am I expecting, right? I'll just have to post some pictures of the AZ winter to make you snowed-in New Yorkers jealous in January or something. Then I'll feel better. :)
