So I don't usually like it when people brag about the nice things they have purchased, but I just can't help it. Jared and I have been saving up for a really long time for this and I just wanted to show you all because I know you will be happy for us....
It's called the Adela and it was docked in Battery Park City. It's the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. The cute deckhand (one of 12) told us that the owner had money from oil and it costs $20,000 just to fill up the tank. And then he told us that no, we couldn't touch it.
So, next time you pay $4/ gallon, just know that the oil profits are being used to build very beautiful things.

That makes me feel so much better. As I pump I will think of the crisp eastern winds blowing through the sails of the Adela.
swish swish swish........
I think it's only right that you post about this. I know, it's a bit showy, but your real friends know that you're not trying to make us feel jealous or make us think you're great because you can spend 20k on gas. We are just happy for your successes. And some success that is...
Yes, we used to drool over this when we lived in BPC way back... It would sometimes be docked there. 12 deckhands. You have got to be kidding me. My dreaming of a housecleaner 2x/month doesn't seem so extravagant now! Also, we just changed the link on our blog :) No problem! So good to stay in touch. Enjoy the awesome summer in NYC!
