Holiday fun with the cousins (Part 1)

If there were such a thing as falling in love with your cousin at the age of 3, these two would be in love. They are so happy together.

Merry Christmas!

I had the best intentions this year to send you a nice Christmas card. I chose this picture because it really encapsulates the year that we had. It would have made you laugh and had a nice personal note and a cool envelope and you could have stuck it on your refrigerator.

I hope you are not offended and do not stop sending us Christmas cards because we really love getting them.

Merry Christmas! We had a great year. Hope you all did too!

Harlem Christmas Party

Playing a game with all the kids.

Meeting Santa:

Note the look of sheer happiness on their faces:

Kian sits on Santa's lap and says: "Santa, I'm here now. In New York. Not in Africa. OK?"

Lucia is very curious.

Nope.

I am actually glad my girls have a healthy fear of strangers that want to hold them.

Cyra's Pre-school Christmas Pageant

The cast:

Cyra was the "star angel." It was a non-speaking part, but pretty pivotal for the plot.

Distracted on stage by her angel friend's wings.

A good-looking bunch of angels. If heaven has angels like this, sign me up.

The shepherds sleeping:

Cyra: enter stage left with the star (tongue sticking out):

The play falling apart when "snow" is introduced.

Santa comes and Cyra is mesmerized:

She doesn't want to leave the set. "Are you kidding me guys? We are just going to walk away from Santa? Do you realize what you're doing?"
